16 Jun And Then Life Happens…
You know when you have a day planned to enjoy some relaxation at a nearby lake (or wherever) and then something happens that de-rails your plans? Well about eleven days ago my husband and I were rear-ended on our way to enjoy such a day. To say it was a SHOCK is putting it mildly! After we had dealt with the police report and called our insurance company we decided to NOT let the accident ruin our day and we continued on to enjoy some down time by the lake. Of course when we finally got there and I spread out my blanket to lie down and read I found that I simply could not concentrate at all on reading.
It’s very interesting to me how we all react to unexpected bumps in the road. My first thought was “what can we be grateful for”? The first thing that came to my mind was that our dogs were not with us. They would have been little missals and likely would have been hurt much more than we were.
I just wanted to share this with you as I’ve been away from my computer for too long and I wanted you to know why.
I have been dealing with whiplash, quite a minor bit of it I believe, but nonetheless life disrupting! I am healing daily and waiting to get my energy back. I am now excited to get back on my bike! I can’t stand too much of being idle!
It’s just a bit more than one week until my second season of Self Propelled Kids Camp starts and I’m so excited! I have 6 kids signed up for sure and I know more will be joining in at the last minute. Offering these camps has been one of the very best things I’ve done in a long time. I am influencing children for their lifetime! I am helping our community by teaching bicycle safety to these young cyclists. My hope for each and every child that comes through my day camp is that they will develop a love of cycling that will stay with them for their entire life and help keep them fit and healthy.
I am so very grateful to each and every parent who has entrusted me with their child. It is an honor to be a part of their lives!
So, I apologize for being absent from my fans for a bit. I’m BACK!!! Thanks for your patience.
